【図鑑 ー写生帖と植物画ー】パートでは、新作の写真シリーズ《解剖学的観察 Anatomical Observation》 をはじめ、研究目的で描かれた植物画をベースとした精密な写真作品、草花や虫などの観察のために描かれた日本のスケッチブックである写生帖を基にした映像作品《蝶 Butterfly》などを展示。
【西洋絵画の解剖】パートでは、古典絵画を解体する作品シリーズから、数ヶ月間の撮影を1枚の合成写真に凝縮した《餐 Banquet》、絵画の模倣の過程を連番写真として記録した《粧 Guise》を制作の裏側とともに紹介、展示致します。
絵画の持つ虚偽的で理想化された世界を眼前に生々しく再現することは、通常誰しもが持っているような思いこみや社会通念の脆さを露呈させていきます。一方で、その露呈された崩壊後の姿には静けさと無常の美意識が滲み出てくるのを感じます。
このマニアックで、新鮮な感覚を皆様と共にシェアできましたら幸いです。 (小瀬村)

I’m pleased to announce my solo exhibition at MITSUKOSHI CONTEMPORARY GALLERY in Mitsukoshi,Nihonbashi, Tokyo. The exhibition will be displayed in two sections; Reference illustration book: Sketchbooks and Botanical Paintings and Anatomy of Western Painting.
In the "Reference illustration book: Sketchbooks and Botanical Paintings" section, I will exhibit my latest photographic series "Anatomical Observation" (a series of precise photographs based on botanical paintings made for research purposes) and a video series "Butterfly" based on "Shasei-cho," a Japanese sketchbook for observing flowers, insects and other natural things.
In the "Anatomy of Western Painting" section, from the series of works deconstruct! ing classical paintings, "Banquet", a series of photographs taken over a period of several months and condensed into a single composite photograph, and "Guise", a series of sequential photographs documenting the process of replicating a painting, will be on display, along with the process behind their creation.
The realistic reproduction of the false and idealized world of painting before our eyes exposes the fragility of assumptions and social conventions that we all usually have. On ! the other hand, I feel a sense of serenity and aesthetic impermanence exuding from the exposed post-collapse image. I hope the viewer can sense this strange but fresh perspective in the same way it has impacted me.
